It’s a very simple app. All about sports news, information and discussions. No ‘news’ news and NO politics.
The time has come for an app where you can find the best sports news, information and discussions, without the noise. So until someone else builds that, we’ll do that on Sporto.
How Does the App Work?
You can create short posts (100 character max) with links to news and information from the world of sports. Create short posts (100 characters max) for discussions (250 character max)on sports topics of interest. You or anyone else can respond to posts.
Again, the app is all about sports only and offers …
1. News/Info – Share a short summation of news or info along with an outbound link.
2. Discuss – Create a question/comment or discussion point (no link) and see how people respond.
3. You – All your posts are stored here. So is your bio. Right in this tab.
There is a NEW POST button also on navigation. One option invites you to create posts for info/news with a link out that drop into the News/Inof navigation point feed. The other option is for making Discuss posts/challenges that go into that Discuss navigation point (no links out). Info/News and Discuss posts all get posted into your You navigation point/your account, as well. No links there, either.
How Can You Find Stuff on the App?
We get you started with Featured feeds of info/news to show you what we think is good stuff. Log in if you want to contribute, reach out if you want to be in the featured feed. Just check in if you don’t want to yet. You can also click on the + or account name and follow or unfollow them in your feeds once you’re signed up/signed in (this functionality is coming soon). You can sort feeds with the top screen hamburger icon between Featured, Popular and New.
How Can I Get Featured?
Post good stuff and reach out and let us know. If we like it, you get Featured.
Either way, you own all the posts you create and anyone can respond to them. Some rando (or your ‘best’ friend) responds with a something you don’t like? Whatever. With just two clicks, you can delete what they posted forever. Don’t like the post you built for whatever reason? Delete it. It’s gone forever.
You own it.
While the user has 100% control of their challenges, admin will check in on reported/spammy challenges and responses regularly. We’ll also clean up anything that looks spammy or abusive, as well as most anything related to politics. There are other places for that stuff.
